The Security Manager is responsible for protecting the life and safety of all hotel occupants, protecting the physical premises, guest and team member property, as well as the business assets and reputation of the company. They must possess all of the qualifications and responsibilities of the Security Supervisor and Base Officer, and provide guidance and supervision of Security team members including maintaining and improving the morale of the team.
The Security Manager will assist the Director of Security in the training and re-training of the Security team and monitor their competency, performance and effectiveness as well as execute disciplinary actions and manage payroll and scheduling on a day-to-day basis. The Security Manager will assist with conducting regular safety training of OSHA required topics with other hotel departments. The Security Manager will also:

- Ensure that all hotel and Security policies, procedures, appearance and conduct standards are being met

- Effectively resolve guest concerns
- Exercise a mature, professional, and calm demeanor, and command authority and presence during an emergency or stressful situation
